Made from mild steel and finished with either a durable powder coating or galvanising, our rails feature strong 50 mm piping for added strength and durability. In addition, the traditional design we stock has been trusted for more than 50 years, proving its long-standing reliability.

Cattle Rails – Also Known as Skaap Tralies

Cattle Rails, commonly known as Skaap Tralies or Stockman Rails, all refer to essentially the same type of rail. Traditionally, farmers used these rails to load and transport sheep and cattle, while the sturdy construction helped prevent livestock from escaping.

Today, however, their purpose has evolved. While they still provide practical livestock-loading capabilities, many bakkie owners now use Cattle Rails to transport a wide range of goods. At the same time, their rugged construction and distinctive appearance give a bakkie a tough, practical and unmistakably macho look.

We supply one standard universal Cattle Rail design, making it a practical choice for a wide range of applications. Furthermore, our latest design features a detachable gate, giving you greater flexibility when loading and unloading.

The crossbars can also be removed, particularly if you prefer to fit a canvas cover or require easier access to the load area. In addition, you can customise your Cattle Rail with accessories such as a canvas cover, allowing you to adapt your bakkie to suit your specific needs.
