Why Choose a Removable or Detachable Tow Bar?

A removable or detachable tow bar offers the best of both worlds. A tow bar when you need it, but not when you don’t!

Furthermore, when the detachable tow bar is removed, the neck is no longer visible at the rear of the vehicle. As a result, it can help prevent potential interference with your vehicle’s reverse parking sensors.

Therefore, if your bakkie is equipped with rear parking sensors, a removable or detachable tow bar can be an excellent option. In addition, removing the tow bar when it is not required gives your vehicle a cleaner, neater appearance.

Ultimately, a detachable tow bar provides flexibility, convenience and functionality, allowing you to tow when necessary while keeping the rear of your vehicle unobstructed when you don’t need it.

What is the purpose of a Towbar?

A tow hitch, also known as a tow bar, is a device securely attached to the chassis of a vehicle to enable towing. Depending on the vehicle and towing requirements, a tow bar can incorporate a tow ball, which allows the trailer to swivel and articulate, or a tow pin or tow hook. Designed to connect with different types of trailer couplings.
