Midrand Canopy Centre has supplied and fitted quality Bakkie Tralies since 2000. Over the years, we have built a reputation for durable products, speedy service and accurate fitments.

We manufacture our Bakkie Tralies from strong mild steel, with a choice of durable powder coating or galvanising. In addition, the 50 mm piping provides excellent strength and stability. With more than 45 years of manufacturing experience, we know what it takes to produce Bakkie Tralies that are strong, reliable and built to last.

Although they have different names, they all refer to the same type of sturdy rail system.

Traditionally, farmers used these rails to load and transport sheep and cattle, while the strong framework helped keep livestock safely inside the vehicle. Today, however, their use extends well beyond livestock. Many bakkie owners now use Cattle Rails to load, secure and transport various types of goods. At the same time, their rugged design gives a bakkie a tough, practical and unmistakably macho look.

Midrand Canopy Centre provides a wide array of other accessories as well. We supply and fit canopies, bull bars tow bars and do rubberizing of just about all types of bakkies.

Stockman Rails

Our latest Cattle Rail design features a detachable gate, giving you greater flexibility when loading and unloading. In addition, you can remove the crossbars when you want to install a canvas cover. You can also add other practical accessories, such as a canvas cover, to customise the Cattle Rail to suit your needs.

Multi Purpose Use

These rails are also used for various other purposes, providing adequate protection whilst transporting goods. The standard cattle rail does not include a canvas cover which is a separate accessory. Should you require a quote, feel free to enquire. Cnvas covers are made on request

Bakkie Tralies/Cattle Rails

We supply Bakkie Tralies for most popular bakkie models and the larger load-body vehicles such as the Hyundai H100 and Kia K2700. In addition, we stock rails for many of the latest bakkie models, while we build other applications to order to ensure the correct fit.

For special-order rails, manufacturing usually takes approximately three weeks. However, once your rail is ready, our professional fitment is quick and straightforward, generally taking around 2 to 3 hours.

When ordering, please allow at least 48 hours for goods to become available, depending on stock levels and availability. Consequently, we recommend placing your order in advance, particularly when you require a specific model or a rail made to order.

If you’re outside of Gauteng, we can ship the goods to you for an additional charge, provided you are within the borders of SA,  Should you wish to purchase the goods online, the rails are relatively easy  to install.
